Background / Bio
I am excited to be part of the ONOS Ambassadors program. I am currently at Calix, working on driving the Software Defined Access and CORD/ONOS initiatives. Prior to this, I spent 15+ years at Juniper Networks working in a variety of senior engineering and product management roles. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering from Delhi University; an MS from UC Irvine, and an MBA from Cornell.
As a Director of Engineering and Product Management, I have had the opportunity to work across the broad spectrum network domains - Access & Aggregation, Data Center, Core and Edge. From Fiber (FTTH) like GPON, NGPON-2 and Copper (G.FAST), as well as Layer 2/3 switching and routing such as VXLAN, EVPN, L3VPN, MPLS, VPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and core SDN technologies like OpenFlow and Netconf/YANG.
I have been an active participant at the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) serving on the Migration, Testing & Interoperability working groups, also served as the co-chair of the certifications committee in the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF). I am currently responsible for driving the implementation of core SDN technologies. This includes the implementation of ONOS/CORD, Open Flow, OpenStack, NFV and the integration of 3rd party automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet and Chef.
