  1. Eva: Background of the call: Used to be smaller group and now open to community and welcome anyone

  2. Round of introduction

  3. Goals of the call: Mainly ONOS, but CORD can be the use case, CORD/XOS might

  4. Marketing Messaging (What are different type of messagings and what are the supporting materials)

Guru proposed these messages:

  • HA/Scale/Performance

  • Incremental SDN vs Disruptive SDN - ONOS is the only control plane that is able to support both the incremental SDN as well as the Disruptive - it covers the entire spectrum to allow users to migrate from today to the future 

  • Mike: ONOS now should be about commercial deployment and value

Greg - some ideas on CORD messaging - access in CORD - he can tell a message without even mentioning SDN, NFV, or other technical trends - describe a future world (and by the way, it is with ONOS)

    1. Action: Mike volunteered to drive a brainstorming session offline that can be reviewed later with the larger community

    2. Eva: Comparison of ONOS and ODL - performance, architecture

    3. Greg: How everything fits together: about SDN, Controller, Open Stack etc.

    4. Working closely with Ambassadors Program

  1. Sarah: Adding Social media strategy

  2. Action: Eva & David: Come up with list of existing contents of Video, demo, white paper etc for the next meeting.

  3. Bill: New web design for CORD project: http://opencord.org/ 

    1. David is driving with the web design form

    2. Messaging on the page - welcome everyone on the list to review and suggest - Action: Bill will follow up with David to get the comments/suggestions

  4. Eva review of calendar of events site - action: needs to be updated

    1. This site needs to provide a link to the ONOS online calendar

    2. Need to add what we are doing at these events

    3. How can we promote them better?

      1. Add webpage

      2. If anyone spot something, post to community mailing list

      3. Twitter: #onosproject, @onlab_ONOS

    4. Meredith suggested sending event info to their email list onlabpr@linuxfoundation.org

    5. Figure out use public Calendar vs. table on wiki (Eva, with Bill’s help)

    4. Eva: Event planning in general: each event will have a project manager, create a planning sheet and assign each tasks to volunteers
