New years

ONS 2017, lots of activity. Do we have any media planning.

Meredith - yesterday we had a meeting. Until we have an idea of what the talks are going to be, we’re

Sarah –

Eva – There is a planning of  mini-summits?

Sarah – If you look at the blog, it shows the overall plan. http://onosproject.org/2017/01/11/submit-your-ons-2017-talks-before-cfp-deadline-of-jan-21/

Eva – Huawei will definitely be one of the sponsors. Do we have other partners, or there any planning of other partners?

Meredith – Are the documents available to be shown, David?

David – havne’t been too connected to the planning. Not sure.

Eva – I know we need more details for what types of talks, but I was just wondering if there are plans to include more partners into the planning proceed.

Meredith – That’s definitely the plan. January 21

Eva – if there are upcoming partners, we’d like to have to have their marketing or social team to try to get involved on this marketing community call. Any other additional things that need help with ONS 2017?

Meredith – I’ll have to check and see if there’s any additional things we could use help on.

Eva – One thing I wanted to bring up, there was talk about ONOS and OPNFV mini-site planning, how is that going?

Meredith – Yes that is being taking over by Aseem. Also ONS website is getting information posted for event planning with ONF merging. It’s continuing updates.

Eva – Maybe we could have the website-building contractors build an automated posting system where ON.Lab website pulls postings from ONS website, ONOS websites etc…

Meredith – At the ambassador call yesterday, William had a conversation regarding potentially making an overall tone for news for ONOS/CORD.

Sarah – I’m not entirely clear on our website strategy. Could someone clarify that?

David – High-level, overall not too much changes, ONOS/CORD will have their own site. We’ll have other sites as well, but I think ON.Lab will be phasing out, converting into ONS’ website.

Eva – ON.Lab open house video is in review.

Charles – It’s a quick video, showed Guru and Bill Snow giving a quick statement.

Eva – Once past review, give to Meredith and Sarah and David. Meredith, is there an overall-summary 2016 blog?

Meredith – Yeah, we have a 2017 vision blog coming out.

Eva – Ok, definitely let us know if there’s anything we can provide any assistance.

Meredith - Doing a lot of research and scoping out the plan on that. It’s very course-specific at the moment.

David – We finally got a person for regular translation work, he’s doing great work.

Meredith – We’re doing a collaborators announcement. We will be doing a blog post. I will be checking with you David about our complete list of collaborators. We’ll be doing a few details on the collaborators. For pick-ups, we’ll just direct them to the blog post.

Meredith – If there’s any news clipping of particular interest regarding ONOS and CORD, let us know and we see how we can highlight it.

Eva – I will be doing a developer update next week at the intel dev meetup event. There any information I can grab from you David?

David – Yeah, I’ve done an ONOS post recently, so feel free to use it. Also would be great to shoutout to the new brigade, for a call to action.
